The Image Analysis and Communications Lab (IACL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is led by Professor [[Prince|Jerry Prince]]. Research focuses on image and signal processing in medical imaging and video processing. Specific areas of technical interest include filter banks, wavelets, multivariate systems, signal decomposition, time-frequency and time-scale analysis, active contours and deformable geometry, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and optical flow. Research projects involve faculty, post-docs, and both graduate and undergraduate students from several departments. IACL members have access to high-performance workstations, a computational cluster, and a variety of additional resources. Research is supported in part by: the National Science Foundation; the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke; the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering; Siemens Corporation; and the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders.
