"About IACL"

The Image Analysis and Communications Lab (IACL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is led by Professors Jerry Prince and Dzung Pham. Research focuses on image and signal processing in medical imaging and video processing. Specific areas of technical interest include filter banks, wavelets, multirate systems, signal decomposition, time-frequency and time-scale analysis, active contours and deformable geometry, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and optical flow. Research projects involve faculty, post-docs, and both graduate and undergraduate students from several departments. IACL members have access to high-performance workstations, a computational cluster, and a variety of additional resources. Research is supported in part by: the National Science Foundation; the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke; the Whitaker Foundation; Siemens Corporation; National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders.
