I have been a co-chair (with Ralph Etienne-Cummings) of a Diversity Committee" since 2003. The principles and activities of this committee can be found at http://www.cisst.org/diversity-overview. Here, I provide a few articles that I consider to be "required reading" when considering diversity, especially when applied to academia.
