Overall Research Goal: Generate a Cortical Anatomic Atlas from MR Images



Currently, I am working on the segmentation aspect of this work. In our approach, the segmentation is based on cortical surface depths.

Here is a pretty picture of the central sulcus with the geodesic distances from the outer (visible) cortex mapped on top of it. Geodesic distance is distance along the surface (as opposed to Euclidean distance which is distance through space).
