Paraview Techniques

Animating surface or volume series

1.	Paraview will recognize filename patterns that contain a series of numerical values. This appears as an "explode-able" file series as shown in the image to the right.	Paraview explode-able file
2.	If the top level (shown in the red box) is selected and OK is clicked, Paraview will know about all the elements and will interpret them as a time series. Notice the time indicies in the bottom left highlighted by the red box. You can view these as a movie in paraview by clicking the play button in the "VCR controls" toolbar near the top of the Paraview window (see the blue box).	Paraview with loaded time series
3.	Any filters or processing that are applied to the object are applied to all objects in the time series.	Paraview with loaded time series
